The grouped housing project Les Heleades is taking shape in the Citadelle district of Meyrin. In order to make the most of the surrounding natural environment and the beautiful view of the Jura mountains, the emphasis was placed on the many outdoor spaces, with a 1,000 m² communal garden shaded by majestic cedar and fruit trees, as well as private gardens for the ground floor apartments. This condominium building consists of 7 apartments, all with windows on both sides of the building. The apartments range from 3 to 5 rooms. The living rooms and bedrooms are large and spacious; an impression that is further highlighted by their high ceilings (2.6 m). The upper floor apartments have large terraces and hanging winter gardens (20 m²), while their south-east-west orientation and the large picture windows ensure that each apartment is bathed in natural light. The 3 rooms penthouse offers a spectacular panoramic view. The refined style of The Héléades is crafted from reinforced concrete with indented ceramic panels on the horizontal plane. The ventilated solid facades also have a metal substructure. The glazed facades reach from floor to ceiling and are fitted with canvas blinds. Located just inside the noise zone around Geneva airport, the building’s layout has been oriented to acoustically insulate the bedrooms. Each apartment has 2 easily accessible indoor parking spaces. The penthouse apartment has direct access to the lift.
Heat is produced by a pellet boiler, as well as thermal and photovoltaic panels on the roof, resulting in a building certified for very high energy efficiency. The apartments are equipped with smart home automated systems that control the blinds, the lights, and the temperature.
