building in marens

Nyon

En Marens is the result of an architectural challenge: to build a building on one of the last building plots in downtown Nyon, while preserving the surrounding nature. The En Marens building comprises 26 condominiums in the heart of Nyon, ranging from 2- to 5-room apartments, all equipped with home automation.

Originally, a majestic garden of almost 3,000 m² on one of the last building plots in downtown Nyon, just a stone's throw from the railway station and hospital. The challenge of the En Marens project was to increase density while preserving the natural character of the site. This challenge was met, as the major trees, fruit trees and a large area of open land were preserved. To extend the "garden city" concept, the building's facades were planted and a planting system with climbing plants on metal rods was installed on each terrace.

No longer a monolithic building, the volumes of En Marens have been designed to blend seamlessly into their environment. The rhombus shape echoes the contours of the plot. To give rhythm and lightness to the reinforced concrete primary structure, the facades are triple-glazed at full height, with curtains of climbing greenery and canvas blinds. The vehicle access ramp is integrated into the building's volume, while paved terraces and a playground complete the outdoor facilities.

The 26 types of this property per floor (PPE) are available on 4 levels, from 2-room to 5-room apartments, all equipped with home automation for blinds, lighting, temperature, sound and energy management - thanks to an Oblo barometer.

Labelled Minergie-A, the building is energy self-sufficient, with 198 solar panels on the roof. Heat is produced using the Icesol system, which is efficient, ecological and economical thanks to its heat pump and innovative use of ice storage.

The volumes of the En Marens building complement the wooded surroundings. Glass surfaces, fabric blinds and green curtains complement the reinforced concrete primary structure. En Marens has been awarded the Minergie-A label and is equipped with 198 solar panels and an innovative Icesol heat production system, which is particularly ecological and economical thanks to its ice storage system.
