Ricq Architectes designs and realizes both private and public architectural projects. The firm pays particular attention to the coherence of the architectural concept, and rigorously monitors every stage of construction. The office strives to develop sustainable, responsible architecture. Attention is paid to the choice of materials, the control of energy needs, integration into the landscape and the preservation of pre-existing flora and fauna.

The office has been based in Geneva since 2013 and is active throughout the Lake Geneva region. It has expanded to Zurich since 2018 to develop both private and institutional projects, with the rigor, creativity and strength of proposal that characterize it.

Christophe Ricq
Architect, Director
Christophe Ricq was born in Geneva in 1975. With a passion for art and architecture, he studied at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) before going on to specialize in urban planning at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB).
His career also took him to New York, where he worked successively with Hervé Descottes and Peter Gluck.
He completed his studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and began his career with the urban design and analysis firm Herzog & de Meuron, before graduating under the supervision of Dietmar Eberle, a specialist in ecological architecture.
For ten years, Christophe Ricq pursued his career as an architect and project manager with three offices in French-speaking Switzerland, where he managed the development of some fifty projects.
In 2013, he founded Ricq Architectes in Geneva, specializing in fire protection the following year. In 2018, he opened a second office in Zurich.
Andrea Riva
Architect
Andrea Riva was born in Aosta in 1997. A few years later, he graduated in architecture from HEPIA in Geneva. His architectural influences are eclectic: Le Corbusier, Renzo Piano, Wright...) Although versatile, Andrea acknowledges a marked taste for construction. Ricq Architectes is his first experience in practice, starting in 2021.
Diana AL HOSNI
Architect
An admirer of Zaha Hadid's work, Diana Al Hosni was born in Riyadh in 1987. She studied in Homs (Syria), where her family's passion for civil engineering and architecture continued. It was also here that she gained her first professional experience. An inveterate artist and painter in her spare time, her heart finally led her to Switzerland, where she learned French and joined Ricq Architectes in early 2022.

Xavier Aymon
Home Automation Engineer
This native of Valais discovered the joys of technical professions in the family electrical business. He completed his training with a diploma from the Yverdon engineering school. Attracted by functional design, he discovered the work of Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier, Giacometti and Bruno Munari. Today, his holistic approach enables him to develop both complex home automation solutions and LED lighting solutions available in the most prestigious design boutiques in Switzerland.
Yannick Mathieu
Civil Engineer
This indefatigable mountain dweller first took his imagination to the IGN maps of his childhood. Life's paths being what they are, he eventually became a civil engineer. He began his career designing ski lifts all over France. He returned to his hometown of Evian, where he was called upon to supervise the construction of the CEVA (Léman Express) cut-and-cover tunnel. He began working with Ricq Architectes on a villa in Mie, and has since been involved in a number of projects.
Philippe Thevenon
Light Designer
A native of Geneva, his passion for architecture took him by storm. Self-taught, he developed a remarkable and acclaimed skill for LED lighting, which he validated with a diploma. He regularly revisits his classics with Chipperfield, Dienner, Piano, Herzog and de Meuron on the occasion of various collaborations. Philippe approaches light as the fourth dimension of architecture, and that's why he's so valuable!
Laurent Frentzel

Before becoming one of the best specialists in Wellness equipment in French-speaking Switzerland, Laurent was first and foremost a talented entrepreneur. With ties on both sides of the Rusti Graben, it was finally on the Californian coast that he found the object of his success. Always ahead of his time, and for over 20 years, Laurent has had the talent to propose Spa / Wellness solutions that are relevant and perfectly adapted to both our quality standards and our customers' desires.
Kristoff Droin

Kristoff Droin was born in Paris. A passionate lover of stone and marble, he found his vocation at a very early age, working with an Italian marble craftsman who instilled in him a taste for beautiful things well done. Today, Kristoff Droin works alongside some of the world's leading decorators. His 80 collaborators work daily on ambitious projects. He works for Ricq Architectes as an expert in flooring, marble and tiles.

A native of Estavayer, le Lac, Sandoz has made a name for himself in French-speaking Switzerland as a specialist in fireplaces and stoves. Whether electric or gas, César Sandoz's masterpieces make homes more comfortable and convivial. This design enthusiast is an adept of small is beautiful.
